We do recommend anyone wishing to burn this season; do it as early in the season as possible. It would be preferred that your brush burning be done while snow cover still exists. As always; even with snow cover, the area should be protected with a garden hose.

    It should be noted that the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection is the regulating authority on statewide burning. We do have concerns that the dry spring months may see the allowable burning season shortened or cancelled. Days that burning will not be allowed will -obviously- be more numerous than in past years.
