Baseball Softball Association Hosts Annual Expo
10 AM - 3 PM - Blake St.
By: Katie Gillespie
For the third year in a row, the Northborough Baseball & Softball Association will be holding their Baseball Expo on Saturday, September 17th. After having a popular event last year, they plan on continuing their reign this year with many activities, old and new. Besides selling hot dogs, hamburgers and Durkin’s famous sausages, the group also plans on having a dunk tank, where you can attempt to dunk your favorite coaches and umpires. New this year will also include a baseball-throwing contest, in which the fastest throwers, as tested by the speed gun, will win trophies.
Not only will this booth feature food and fun, but all money raised will be going towards a charitable cause that directly helps the town. The profits raised at the event will be used by the Northborough Baseball & Softball Association to help run the town’s youth baseball and softball programs that encourage the themes of sportsmanship, teamwork, and exercise in children.
Be sure to stop by the Baseball Expo, located on the corner of Blake and Pierce Street, on Saturday afternoon for good food, family fun, and the chance to help the community.
