Classic cars have always been a staple in the yearly Applefest Parade. Following this appreciation for the vehicles, the Applefest Committee added a Classic Car Show to the itinerary of events at Applefest last year. The show was a success, with 60 cars attending despite the weather. This year, the committee hopes for an even bigger show. “We would like to see 100+ vehicles for this year,” explained Alan Archibald, one of the show’s organizers. The show is moving from the American Legion to the Northboro Shopping Plaza parking to accommodate the vehicles. The only potential obstacle to the show is bad weather, which can scare away many classic car owners. However, the committee is confident that this year’s show will be a success. Attendees can see many classic cars, ranging from late 60's through mid 70's muscle cars to hot rods to late model Corvettes. Archibald encourages everyone to come to the event. “The Applefest Car Show will be a great way to take a trip down memory lane. With a wide variety of cars, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.”
